What is a Holistic Approach?

This means that we look at the whole picture. The totality of something is much greater than the sum of its component parts and they cannot be understood by the isolated examination of their parts.

“In other words, what is the point of controlling your main heating and ventilation system alone if there is also an Air Conditioning System in the same area with different criteria.”

You can lower the energy used by one system just for another to work harder in order to maintain the area.

It is not unusual for a heating system to be heating a room, whilst the occupants have turned the Air Conditioning system on full to try and cool it at the same time. This can use 3 to 4 times the required energy for a given area.
